OMG!! What a great experience! We had our first molcajete here and it was absolutely amazing!!!! The girls in the restaurant were so helpful in explaining the dish to us and how it's made. We will always make a stop in Van Horn when traveling through Texas, just for this dish!

Was a bit disappointed when I parked and saw this wasn't the old mom and pop cafe it used to be. That place was awesome. What the heck, I'm here, might as well check it out. Service was instant, Food came fairly quick. Never heard of getting a naked potato with a Mexican meal, but it was one of the tastiest bakers I have ever eaten. The charro beans tasted like a very good Mexican version of Campbell's bean with bacon soup. YUM! The carne asada tacos were outstanding. The iced tea was superb. The green salsa and chips were delicious. Almost 19 bucks, but I would stop here often if I still ran this way. Thanks for the awesome dinner Chelas.

I hardly ever review restaurants, good or bad. But this breakfast skillet was extraordinarily tasty! The tomatillo salsa was perfectly spicy. Great service, very fast and helpful. Highly recommend Chelas!

The restaurant that I used to come to 10 years ago is now closed. I saw this next to the gas station and decided to try it. It is some of the best Mexican food, real Mexican food, that I've had in a long time. Not this Americanized stuff or the Tex-Mex stuff. I had a chili rellano, flanta's and enchilada with a horchata to drink it was absolutely wonderful.

The food was amazing, I love their tortillas. The flan was amazing too. Really good authentic Mexican food. Not sure why there are so many negative reviews, I had a great experience, food was plated nicely, the prices are very reasonable and the food tasted homemade and fresh.
